Due to Midnight in Paris being the highest grossing film of his decades long career, it was only natural for Woody Allen to hop back into the director's chair as quickly as possible (not that he wouldn't have anyway). To Rome With Love is Allen's 43rd film as director and he's always been incredibly prolific, but his films have always varied in quality so dramatically (following one of his best, Match Point, with his career low, Scoop, springs to mind) that it will be interesting to see if he's in the thrall of a career renaissance, or whether he's just stumbled onto another moment of clarity. We'll all be able to judge on June 22nd, when the film is released in America.
