New Record Store in Bend!

A Brand New Used Record store on Bond St.

Last week, a curious Craigslist ad about a new record store opening up in town, was posted right under my nose.

So, I immediately made my way to Recycle Music L.L.C. on the corner of Arizona and Bond street, across from Strictly Organic Coffee and popped in for a visit.

I was greeted by the establishment's owner Keith, and we started talking about music and the opening of his store. He brought up his love for early Jayhawks music as well as Son Volt and Uncle Tupelo while he showed me around the new digs and I picked out a Ryan Adams record to purchase.

The store contains thousands of used vinyl records (an entire bin dedicated to The Beatles), hundreds of used CD's, KISS dolls, used DVD's, posters, and even used stereo equipment and turntables.
Keith took me out to a second building he called a "barn" and showed me just how he plans to replenish his stock of records. The guy has got stacks and stacks of boxes containing thounds more LPs to put out as he sells down his inventory. More Beatles, more Hendrix, more of everything. He also has several folding tables lined up that he explained will eventually be used to set up some of the stereo equipment so that people can listen to full systems before deciding to buy. I instantly suggested he make it into a listening lounge where we all kick back with beers and headphones (we'll see if he takes me up on that).

Prices are absolutely reasonable and I can easily see myself getting into trouble there if I don't set spending limits before entering. So go check out Recycle Music L.L.C. at 3 NW Bond St.. You'll probably find something to buy. (I know I'll go back soon because I'm kicking myself for not leaving there with a "The Thing For Class President" button.)

Hours are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
