A Celtic Journey
Go celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the second annual A Celtic Journey at Bend High School this weekend. A great event for families, this celebration will include various Celtic entertainments including: bag pipes, Irish Dancers, Scottish Dancers, singers and musicians. The Bend High Orchestra will be serving a meal of bangers and mash in between shows. $7 for adults; $4 for children. 2p.m. and 7p.m. Bend High Auditorium.

Tom Scott and California Express
Come listen to some smooth Jazz at the Oxford Hotel in downtown Bend. Composer, arranger, producer, musical director and saxophonist, Tom Scott has 29 solo recordings, three Grammy Awards and 14 Grammy nominations. For his Jazz at the Oxford performance, he brings his west coast band, California Express, featuring Gilbert Castellanos on trumpet, Josh Nelson on keyboards, Trey Henry on bass and Gene Coyle on drums. $49 8p.m. The Oxford Hotel 10 NW Minnesota Ave.

2013 Snowshoe National Championships
Get ready for day two of the 2013 annual U.S. National Snowshoe Championships. This weekend, grab some buddies and participate in the 4X2.5km Snowshoe Team Relay even. Four team members each cover a course of 2.5km, before handing off to the next team member. The top three teams earn medals. You can also go as a spectator, because every race needs its crazy fans!
