Prineville Kid Spending Summer Raising Money for St. Judes

Central Oregon has some pretty terrific people in it. As it turns out, we've got some pretty great kids too!

The Source Weekly recently received this message from one very pleased parent:

"Hello,
My name is Sarah McCamly. My 9 year old son, Jamison Wagner, came to me and his grandparents with an idea. He wanted to use his summer off to raise money for St. Judes Cancer Research.

As a parent I couldn't be more proud of him. We have built a stand, bought supplies and he is officially open for business in Prineville. The reason I am writing is because I would like to see him succeed beyond his wildest dreams. I am hoping that our community will support him and his cause. We are using as many local media outlets as we can to get the word out about his fight to cure cancer and help his fellow peers live long healthy lives.

His stand is located in Prineville on Harwood Street by Lamonta Road and he is open 10am-4pm.

He hasn't set exact dates but he is determined to be out there every day and wants to continue all summer long. He has signs out and you can't miss his stand. Half of all his proceeds go to St. Judes. He is serving snowcones, cookies, and lemonade. There is even a nice umbrella covered table with chairs to sit and enjoy your treats, along with a nice grassy yard for the kids to play. Any mention of this would be so greatly appreciated and would make a little boys whole summer. Thank you for reading this!

Sincerely,
One very proud Mom"

We will keep you posted on the dates, but hopefully this may inspire some other kids (or adults) in town to follow Jamison's lead!
