There is music a plenty throughout Bend tonight, including the First Friday Crescendo, a musical talk on the monthly art walk, capped with a show by Moon Mountain Ramblers. But as if that's not enough, there's also a youthful battle of the bands and a large-scale rap show. Somethin' for everybody...

Out at the Rise Up warehouse (1560 1st St. - Corner of 1st and Penn), a group of local bands are gathering to battle it out to raise some cash for the international organization. Bands set to play the show include some familiar names like Space Hoax, We Are Brontosaurus and the Autonomics as well as other acts that may be new to some including Hunters on the Horizon, The Snag and Adventure Gallery. The show is all ages and $5 at the door. Kicks off at 6pm.

Over at the Midtown, there's a big show (albeit somewhat under publicized) featuring Oakland rapper Mistah FAB -- known for his cut "Hit me Twitter" -- is playing alongside BV &BZO Tremendous, Lock Jaw Records and Rezhog. This is one of the bigger rap shows of the last few months, so if you're suffering from hip-hop withdrawal, this could be a nice rememdy.
