Janapar: Love on a Bike

Presented by Pine Mountain Sports and the Central Oregon Trail Alliance, Janapar follows 23-year-old Tom Allen and his attempt to cycle and camp his way around the world. Janapar is the Armenian word for journey and Allen initially started his with two friends who quit after only a few weeks, leading him to continue his trek in solitude. He cycled across central and eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and the north-eastern spine of Africa. In Armenia he fell in love and the film chronicles not only the 300 hours of footage he shot while on his jouney, but also the decision of whether to stay with his girlfriend or to continue on his path. A powerful and gorgeously shot documentary that will appeal to anyone interested in getting away from their desk and out into the world. Part of the COTA Movie Night series.

A Streetcar Named Desire

Theater nerds rejoice! One of the most buzzed about productions of the year, A Streetcar Named Desire at the Young Vic Theatre in London, is showing live for one night at the Old Mill Stadium 16. This production of the show is being hailed as the finest one in decades and Gillian (The X-Files) Anderson's Blanche being called the finest one in history. Along with the brilliant Ben (3:10 to Yuma) Foster as Stanley and Vanessa (About Time) Kirby, this might be the only chance most of us have to see this historical production of Tennessee Williams' masterpiece. With tickets running $18, it will almost feel like seeing a play live, but without the added excitement of seeing a play live.

The Lego Movie

Yes, this movie is just as funny as everyone says it is. The Lego Movie is the perfect blend of exciting ridiculousness for kids and smart, biting, socio-economic satire for the parents. With the voice talent of the newly minted mega-star Chris Pratt, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Charlie Day, Morgan Freeman, Will Farrell and many more, The Lego Movie is a giant, painful smile to your face for 90 solid minutes. Everything is awesome, y'all. This is the final film in the Munch and Movies film series.
