Get it before its gone -- Riley's Market is closing

Finding something sweet to eat at Northwest Crossing and bidding farewell to Riley's Market!

It had been quite a while since I'd ventured up to Northwest Crossing looking for something sweet to eat. There was Sage Cafe with pastries galore, fresh baked rice krispie treats and decadent brownies, and then there was Riley's Market with locally baked cookies and--ooh!--frozen yogurt.

A welcome change from the claustrophobia I've experienced when entering Cuppa Yo, mobbed end-to-end by parents, teenagers, babies in strollers and sugar-high children running loose, Riley's was calm, well-cared for and clean (maybe a little too clean, doesn't anyone but me know about this frozen yogurt spot?).

Riley's Market actually has (and has had for a long time) two frozen yogurt machines serving four flavors with two additional options to twist them. Although slightly less limitless, Riley's Market also offers a self-serve toppings bar with fresh and dry items like chocolate chips, berries, granola and coconut. Serving myself is always fun because I can customize my frozen yogurt to my own taste which is exactly what I did.

Nothing like a fresh cup of frozen yogurt on a hot summer day! Especially since it won't be available much longer. Due to economic constraints and a lightly-trafficked location in Northwest Crossing, Riley's Market is scheduled to close at the end of this month after a three-year run. Riley's will undoubtedly be missed!
