Well, see, it's just in the nature of a band that's so darn good it warrants its very own three-day, outdoor music festival in the glorious Willamette Valley.

The Northwest String Summit started some eight years ago as a showcase for the beloved prog-bluegrassers' music (and that of their closest musical buddies), and since then it's become one of the very hottest tickets on the straw hat circuit. It's hardly too early to start planning for this summer's edition - the lineup as of press time includes Keller Williams, Drew Emmitt & Bill Nershi, Bill Frisell & Danny Barnes, Great American Taxi, Benny "Burle" Galloway and Friends, and of course the great Yonder Mountain String Band itself, plus many more.
