Blemished, a Musical
THEATER—Blemished, a Musical was the winner of the 2nd Street Theater's innovative Playwriting Platform, which encouraged local authors to submit works for full production. POETRY—Embraced by everyone from singer Ani DiFranco to rapper Sage Francis, Buddy Wakefield uses slam poetry to relate off-kilter stories drawn from his life and imagination. The World Poetry Slam champion is just as likely to opine on people chewing with their mouths open as the awkward spaces that exist between acquaintances. 7 pm. Finding Vivian Maier
FILM—As much visual poetry as journalism, Vivian Maier's photographs chronicle the everyday (and sublime) life in urbane New York City and Chicago, as well as rural France and South America. Redray Frazier
SOUL MUSIC—A New York City native, weaned on the disparate sounds of David Byrne and Dizzy Gillespie, Redray Frazier has tempered those influences with a mellow west coast influence (he now lives in Portland). The result is a surprising concoction of gospel-infused vocals, backed by a driving blues band that would be as comfortable with Lynyrd Skynyrd as Otis Redding. 7 pm. McMenamins, 700 NW Wall. Free.

Jesse Cook
FLAMENCO—Canadian flamenco guitarist Jesse Cook defies expectations by merging the genre's fleet fingers on the fretboard with an eclectic band that occasionally includes a violinist and a pair of percussionists.
