An Evening with David Malis
OPERA—Famous operatic baritone David Malis will perform his favorites from musical theatre and opera, including La Bohème, Die Fledermaus and Lucia di Lammermoor. Malis made his official "MET" house debut as Marcello in La Bohème, which led to 12 seasons there as a leading baritone in a variety of roles. He is the first American to win the prestigious Cardiff Singer of the World Competition and has performed worldwide with numerous different opera companies. 7 pm. POEMS—What does a poet from Oklahoma write about? Well, a lot of stuff. Frisbee players and Lutherans, anarchists, conversations overheard in bookstores, praying and of course, writing. Blitz 2 the Barrel Arm Wrestling Tournament
BRAWN—Beer, bikes, and bulging biceps. Yes, it's time for the annual bike dash for cash that starts at Wanoga Snow Park, makes its way through Tetherow for the Big Air competition and winds up at 10 Barrel Brew Pub where riders will compete in an arm wrestling tournament.
