This fundraiser for the Westside Village Magnet School features a solid lineup of local bands in addition to some equally solid food (from Deschutes Brewery's Mountain Room) and drink lineup. There's also an auction featuring plenty of goods and services from different spots around town. The music lineup includes The Lakes, The Autonomics, Mark Ransom, and the WVMS Roots Rock Band. Head for the Hills is a band of young bluegrassers from Colorado who play up-tempo acoustic tunes, as well as some delicious covers. Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars

Before this African musical troupe comes to the Tower on May 18, the theater is showing a documentary about how the band has brought hope and joy to other refugees who have been displaced and suffered awful tragedies during the civil war in Sierra Leone.
