Tiger Army

Warped Tour Vets and AFI buddies Tiger Army are bringing their brand of psychobilly to our beloved Domino coming directly from a slew of dates in Finland, of all places. Check this week's Sound article for more information. Domino Room. 8pm/doors, 9pm/show. $15/advance, $17/door. 51 NW Greenwood Ave.

Blue Turtle Seduction

friday 8

Since we last interviewed Blue Turtle Seduction for a feature in April, we've caught about four different sets from the Lake Tahoe band and also checked out their new record, 13 Floors. And we can tell you one thing: these guys are firing on all cylinders right now, and one of those cylinders seems to be filled with hip-hop, a newly added element to the band's Americana-flavored attack. Yeah you probably saw them at 4 Peaks, but see them again - indoors this time! 10:30pm. $12/door only. The Annex, 51 NW Greenwood Ave.

Space Hoax

friday 8

You know what Bend really needs? A young rock band full of piss and vinegar with a sound that could pass for The Arctic Monkeys. What? We already have an act that fits those exact parameters? Huh, this band is playing a rare all-ages show at the Silver Moon. Man, ask and you shall receive, eh? Visit their MySpace page (myspace.com/spacehoax) listen to these teenagers' song, "Glass Ball Weather," be impressed and then go check them out. All ages. 6pm. Silver Moon Brewing Co., 24 NW Greenwood Ave.

Embrace The Kill, Hands on Throat, Static Thought

saturday 9

You want it louder, faster, more growlier? Then get yourself to Longshots for a night of punk with some serious metal overtones as Portland's Embrace the Kill is joined by local heroes Hands on Throat as well as Static Thought. Raaarrrrr! 9pm. Free, 21 and over. Long Shots Pub, 314 SE 3rd St.

Jeld Wen Tradition

monday-sunday 11/17

Every year around this time we get our taste of professional golf in the form of this weeklong event that's part of the PGA Champions Tour (that's the one for the old guys). It's a big spectator event, so get down there and secure your spot. Wait, old dudes playing golf in Sunriver? Can't you see that any day? Excellent question. Crosswater Golf Club, Sunriver.

Matt Lewis Band

sunday 12

Turn the page and find out why G. Love likes these dudes so much. All ages. 2:30pm. Free. Les Schwab Amphitheater, 344 Shevlin Hixon Dr.

Jonny Lang

tuesday 12

Wunderkind Lang is all grown up (27 now) and celebrating the release of his latest album Turn Around, a good decade plus since the multi-platinum Lie to Me for the opening Clear Summer Nights concert. His Grammy award-winning mix of Americana blues and gospel has credited himself in the eyes of blues vets Jeff Beck, B.B. King and even saxophone extraordinaire (and former President) Bill Clinton himself. 6:30pm. $33/general admission, $46/reserved, $69/dinner. Athletic Club of Bend. 61615 Mt. Bachelor Drive. 385-3062.
