MUSIC—Described as a combination of blues grit, country lyricism and gospel, this band has been making beautiful music together for a few years now. Careaoke For A Cure

FA LA LA FUNDS—Win money to benefit the American Cancer Society and have a lot of fun doing it. Loosen up the vocal chords and confidence with a couple of drinks. Partial beer sales go to benefit the cause, as well as the entry fees and door donations. If making it on lucky number 13 isn't in the cards, don't worry! Celebrate the 1930s

HISTORY—This event will highlight the lives of Americans during the Great Depression with an evening of dance and live music. Audiences will be dazzled with a fashion show of authentic 1930s fashion while a High Desert Museum curator describes the challenges, as well as joys, of a struggling country. 7 p.m., Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St., Bend. $15.

Ballet Treasures

TUTU SCHOOL—Victor School of Performing Arts brings the treasures of ballet to life with all the elegance and beauty that this strong and delicate art has to offer. Dancers will be handing out gifts to the attendees while introductions of each performer are made. The boxes will be a surprise, but the loveliness in motion will be a guarantee. 6:30 p.m., Old Stone Performing Arts Center, 157 NW Franklin Ave., Bend. $13 adults, $8 children.

Gala de Oro

CULTURE—This Latin American-inspired fundraising event features dancing with Portland's Latin dance band Conjunto Alegre, a silent auction, small plates from local chefs and a whole lot of celebration. The second annual Gala de Oro is a fundraiser for the Latino Community Association and is sure to be a night to remember. 6 to 10 p.m., Boys & Girls Club, 500 Wall St., Bend. $60.

ZYDECO—BeauSoleil mashes up Tex-Mex, zydeco, blues, country and New Orleans jazz, creating a gumbo of deep fried dancing fun. Its high-energy shows create a funky vibe that makes for something much closer to a giant house party than a typical concert. 7:30 p.m., Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St., Bend. $15-$35.

FUNK ON FUNK—This New York-based band is grooving its way over to Bend in order to spread the love of funk to the party people of Central Oregon. Turkuaz isn't the only group doing the dang thing. The Nth Power will also make an appearance with its funky freshness. 9 p.m., Volcanic Theatre Pub, 70 SW Century Dr., Bend. $15 adv., $18 door.

Sean Watkins

MUSICAL GENIUS—Sean Watkins was in Bend last year for the Watkins Family Hour show and put on one of the finest performances Tower Theatre audiences have ever seen. Now he returns to Central Oregon, solo, bringing his stripped down, unique, old-time sound. 7 p.m., The Belfry, 302 Main St., Sisters. $15-$20.

Matt Andersen

DEEP BLUE—There is famous and then there is YouTube-famous, which with nearly universal access to the Internet nowadays, is as good as any. Andersen's Viking-like appearance is only overshadowed by his insanely powerful bass voice and his command of the stage with his showmanship. 9 p.m., Volcanic Theatre Pub, 70 SW Century Dr., Bend. $8.
