What happens when you mix the colors red and blue? Most people would say purple, but as I observe all the confusing political jousting, it just gives me "More Blues."

Donkeys and elephants, libs and conservatives, right versus left. And the glaring omissions in the political narrative, never any discussion of real issues, that affect me, always giving me the infernal Blues.

As one of those frustrated American citizens found spinning in the no spin zone, may I suggest a way out, green. Green is serene.

America so desperately needs a third or even fourth political party. To steal a word from my children, the Democratic and Republican parties both "suck".

If you have ever heard Cynthia McKinney, the Green Party Presidential candidate speak, you will be astonished by something remarkable. She speaks from the heart. And there are no lobbyists pulling the strings between her heart and her lips. Cynthia McKinney ends many speeches with "power to the people". Can you imagine any of the four current executive wannabes, uttering these words in good faith? They have all been bought and paid for already.

Here are some things Cynthia believes in. How about you?

(1) The immediate end to the War in Iraq and reinvestment of the money into our communities (2) Single-payer, universal "Medicare for All" (3) Election integrity where every vote is counted (4) Free higher education (5) End to drug war (6) Promotion of renewable energy (no coal or nuclear) to create hundreds of thousands of new manufacturing, construction and service jobs.

Can't most thoughtful citizens support these great ideas?

Remarkably, when you add gray (matter) in with red and blue, it will most likely come up with Green.
