The "biggest little" rodeo is in town
"The Greatest Show on Dirt!"

Imported princesses, Fort Dalles,
Umatilla, Jefferson...
Peer and praise until they're done.
Denim on denim, top to toe.
Wrangler pleats like rails,
U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co.
Cowboys and four-legged athletes,
Jack Daniels, Pepsi, no Coke,
Sisters Rodeo ain't no joke.
The princesses take a spin,
Miss Oregon Rodeo a dive,
Teen boys share a dip and grin,
Such a blessed primal thrill
"She's alright, thank the Lord!"
How can we ever be bored?
To your neighbor give a shake
Stands full, ready for the ride,
How much abuse can they take?
Espresso beside Buckaroo Grill,
Bulging bellies; pulled-pork, Kettle Corn,
Pretty girls somewhat so by morn.
The gates burst open, feral colts
Dragging middle-aged men.
Wrestling a ride, bucks, jolts,
A wall crunch, Key-Lime team
He's got to have a busted back -
And this is only the warm-up act.
"I just come to see who's doing good."
Says Russ Harmer out of Canby,
The Nationals in Vegas, if they should,
Vanilla Ice dubs, Bangles, JJ the
Clown is Krunking to the Pointer Sisters,
Beauties fetching beers for Misters.
Riders have the coolest names:
Mac, Munns, Winston and Chase,
Far too tough for other games.
Buffalo trained to top his rig,
"The One Arm Bandit" in a vest,
And then there's all the rest.
Buckin' straps used to enrage,
81 points for Morgan Forbes,
Winner? We cannot yet gauge.
There's still ropin' and barrels,
More Bulls and Jack and swine,
Long after that sun don't shine.
