Petunia and the Vipers

Let's start by saying Petunia is a dude. A dude that musically blends every American genre from ragtime to rockabilly. Over western ditties, Petunia yodels and croons in a sweetly '60s country waltz. The band says they thrive on the challenge of adding Latin rhythms to a country blues tune, or gypsy flavoring to a rockabilly standard. 8 pm. Thurs., Oct. 9. The Belfry, 302 E Main St. Sisters. $8.

Cash'd Out

Doug Benson got his start singing along with Johnny Cash tapes on the road for his former career. When he would land in a strange town and tell the cab driver to take him to the nearest bar, if there was a karaoke machine, he would light it up with a Cash tune. Now, Benson and Cash'd Out are one of the most highly sought after Johnny Cash tributes on the circuit, with over 150 songs in their repertoire and an unmatched authenticity to the Man in Black's swaggering growl. 8 pm. Thurs., Oct. 9. Maverick's Country Bar, 20565 Brinson Blvd. $10.

Guttermouth with Voodoo Glow Skulls

With a middle finger in the air and the philosophy, "10 albums later...we're still punk," the shock-value band Guttermouth has a resume of 25 years of offending your grandmother with its outrageous lyrics and live performances. The Voodoo Glow Skulls have an equally impressive resume and their fast-paced ska vibe will have you skanking all over the dance floor. Also featuring Against the Grain and Black Pussy. 8 pm. Fri., Oct. 12. Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave. $15.
