First, about golf: yes, it's spendy. It also sucks up all of our water. But if you want a less expensive golf course, try Crooked River Ranch, summer 18 holes at $41. True, you have to drive a bit, but the spectacular course is worth it. We here at CRR are no longer "the poor man's Sunriver." I wouldn't live anywhere else in Central Oregon, especially Bend "kill-the-bicyclers" or Sunriver "F.T. Poor People".
Secondly, the spillway. That is an illegal death trap. It is a legal hazard to navigation. Someone needs to sue the owner, big time. What purpose does it serve these days? Tear it down! Additionally, the portage around the spillway is illegal. How can the handicapped undergo such a walk and carry? We know that Bend is light years behind the nation in rights for the handicapped. First they don't make the necessary corrections, then they double-ticket a card-carrying handicapped driver.
Long live our 5 acres and security in CRR! No more neighbors so close to you that you can hear them cough!
