The Shins to Play in Bend Next Week

Indie rock heroes The Shins play in Bend before heading down to Outside Lands.

No, that's not an August Fool's Day joke. This is for real.

The Shins, the storied Portland-based indie rock band that's been mostly silent since 2007's excellent Wincing The Night Away as front man James Mercer has worked on other projects like Broken Bells, are playing in Bend at the Domino Room on Tuesday, August 9.

Those who saw the band back in the summer of 2007 at the LSA will be able to get a much overdue second helping of Shins.

For those of you scoring at home, this show is a mere eight days from now. And tickets are already on sale -- right here. They're $25 and expect them to go quickly.

The show is one in a short run for the band as they warm up for a big appearance at the Bay Area's huge Outside Lands festival. Thankfully, Bend made the cut of cities on the way down to San Francisco.
