Free Tonight: The Parson Redheads

The Parson Red Heads play a free show tonight to celebrate their new record.

While plenty of you live music hounds may be planning to hit up the John Butler Trio show up at the Athletic Club, there is an awesome free concert down at McMenamins Old St. Francis School -- The Parson Red Heads.

The show is at 7pm. It's all ages and, again, it's free.

I profiled this Portland band (by way of L.A.) over the winter and talked with front man Evan Way about the Red Head's new record, which came out on Tuesday and is titled Yearling. If you want a taste of the record, enter your email address below and you'll get a listen to "Burning Up the Sky," an excellent sample of this harmony-laden record.

Also, here's the video for another great track from the album.
