A paroled sex offender with a history that includes sexual assault, public indecency and stalking was nabbed in Redmond just a few hours after he left his residence in Bend without permission.

Daniel Douglas Timmons, 29, was reportedly arrested without incident in Redmond after a media alert was issued today. Deschutes County spokesperson Anna Johnson said the coordinated efforts of the Deschutes County Probation and Parole, the Bend and Redmond Police departments and public notification helped law enforcement locate Timmons.

In a press release issued Thursday afternoon, Johnson said that county’s parole and probation department would be recommending revaocation of Timmons release and his return to prison. No other details about the arrest were immediately available.
