Read Library Books on Your Kindle: Ours goes digital with eBooks

Take advantage of new technology.

Posted By on Wed, Sep 28, 2011 at 5:00 PM

You can now borrow books from the Deschutes Public Library by checking them out (digitally download, that is) to your Kindle, Nook, iPhone, Droid, etc.

And to make the process less intimidating, our library has easy, step-by-step directions that walk you through the whole process.

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • Windows or Mac OS X
  • Adobe Digital Editions, installed and activated (free download here)
  • eReader and connecting cable
  • Deschutes Library card and PIN number

The lending period is similar to old-timey books with actual paper (7, 14, or 21 days).

Enjoy. You're welcome.
