Your support for independent local news is important.

The Source Weekly has been Central Oregon’s locally owned news outlet for over 23 years. We have always been the definition of "support local." Our success in navigating this new world is tied to the success we experience in pulling together for the common good.

Quality local journalism takes a group of dedicated reporters passionate about democracy and open government. This story is the result of our hard work, and in normal times, the result of the support of the advertisers in Central Oregon. In the age of COVID-19, however, that support has taken a hit—but that’s where you come in.

Trail Work Party: Whoops, there it is

Help repair the berms and features for next hucking season.

Our immense and easily accessible trail system here in Bend is pretty awesome.

Show you appreciation by getting out there tomorrow with the Central Oregon Trail Alliance to work on the trails you use on the daily.

Saturday, COTA will be working on Lower Whoops, a trail that has become one of the most popular in the region.

COTA asks that all volunteers please wear/bring: sturdy shoes or boots, gloves, eye protection with clear or light colored lens, long pants.

When: Saturday, Nov.5

Time: 9am-1pm

Meet: Bottom of Lower Whoops and Road 300

Work site: Lower Whoops

Get out there and lend a hand, y'all.
