Police  have released a photo of the suspect in a daytime holdup of the U.S. Bank branch on Third St.

Police said the man entered the bank and displayed a knife to employees and demanded cash just after 9:45 a.m Friday. The suspect who was wearing a black base ball cap, a dark hoodie and sunglasses and a white bandana escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and remains at large. The incident is the second time in just a matter of months that the bank has been targeted. The bank was robbed on Dec. 7 by a man who was eventually nabbed in Missoula, Mont after being linked to another bank robbery in Portland.

Anyone with information about Friday’s heist is asked to contact the Bend PD, at 541-693-6911.
