Snoop LionBreaking News! This is no joke!

After a recent trip to Jamaica Snoop Dogg found himself warmly embraced by the island and its people and has declared he's over the hip-hop lifestyle.

"I'm tired of rap ... I want to bury Snoop Dogg ... I found Rastafari," said the artist we shall now know as 'Snoop Lion.' Seriously. This is real.

Check out the trailer for the new film Reincarnated that follows Snoop's journey and was made in partnership with VICE films and Snoopadelic Films.

Man, this isn't that big a jump for the rap mega-star. I mean he already smokes a ton of herb, and transitioning from a canine to a feline isn't so far fetched, is it?

As Snoop has said himself, he's getting old (40) and rap wasn't cutting it anymore. He's had a higher calling.

“I’ve always wanted to perform for kids, my grandmother and people around the world that love me, can’t accept the music that I make. This reggae music is the music of love, happiness and struggle,” Snoop recently told reporters.

Snoop Lion has already tapped Diplo and Major Lazer to help him with his new album.
