Bend Has a New Mayor!

Posted By on Wed, Jan 16, 2013 at 7:20 PM

Jim Clinton was unanimously elected by the Bend City Council to be the next mayor of Bend tonight.

Jodie Barram was elected 4-3 to serve as Mayor Pro Tem, which is like a deputy mayor.

Mark Capell had also been nominated for the post.

Clinton, Sally Russell, Doug Knight and Barram voted for Barram. Victor Chudowsky, Scott Ramsay and Scott Capell voted no on that appointment and would have presumably voted for Capell had she lost the vote.

Watch for the Source's full feature about the new leadership on the council in the coming weeks!
