Family Kitchen To Reopen Tuesday

Family Kitchen, an organization committed to serving the nutritional needs of the hungry, was forced to relocate after the Trinity Episcopal Church was severely damaged in one of seven fires set on Wednesday, March 6.

Church members and volunteers, however, were back distributing food Thursday night. Several people asked how they could help and this helped organizers push forward. The nearby First United Methodist Church made its space available so that families could enjoy dinner despite the destruction.

Today, President of the Board of Trustees of Family Kitchen, Pat Roden announced that the “Family Kitchen will reopen Tuesday, March 12, with [its] regularly scheduled service . . . We are grateful to all agencies who have stepped up to make this happen so quickly.”

If you would like to help Family Kitchen or the church, you can email [email protected]. If you're interested in sending a check, you can send it to Trinity Episcopal Church at 468 NW Wall Street, Bend, OR 97701.
