Technically there was no intention to post a mixtape based on Portland bands in correlation with National Donut Day. The fact that Portland is as famous for those long-line-inducing VooDoo Donuts as it is a stellar music scene is a sweet coincidence.

So if this playlist reaches as far as The Rose City, hopefully someone out there will be listening to awesome pop rock from Derby, harmonized folk from The Parson Red Heads, dark indie rock from Norfolk & Western as well as tracks from 15 other Stumptown gems while sinking their teeth into a tasty bacon/maple bar.

If the music only travels the High Desert, perhaps someone will pick up on the greatness of one of these groups and get them booked in Bend!
