Pre-Halloween Weekend Roundup!

Posted By on Fri, Oct 25, 2013 at 4:26 PM

Some go sexy for Halloween, some go creepy. I recommend stuffing yourself into the most elaborate, outlandish costume you can find. It's normal to stress about what to wear for the most glamorously ghoulish weekend of the year, but one thing you shouldn't worry about is finding a party to flaunt your get-up. The Source has some of the best ones of the weekend right here, in a convenient blog post!

Tour de Toystore
Kids, bikes, costumes, and cross racing. Kick off the weekend of he Cross Crusade cyclocross race: dress the kids up in their scary finest and let them race their bikes through downtown. Friday, 6pm, Crows Feet Commons. Free.

Edgar Allen Poe Night
Alastair Morley Jaques recreates the persona of the dark storyteller and goes way beyond "quoth the raven, nevermore." Friday, 8pm, The Belfry. $10/$12

Halloween Cross Crusade
Spectator-friendly cyclocross races for all skill levels, followed by the beer-infused Deschutes Warehouse Bash. One of our top picks of the night! Races begin at 8:40am Saturday and Sunday in the Old Mill District (all ages). Party at 8pm Saturday, Deschutes Brewery Warehouse (21+). $10.

Last Saturday/ Third Seven Homecoming Halloween Show
One-man cello band and overall talent-machine Billy Mickelson returns to Bend for this all-improv performance to ring in All Hallows Eve. Wear your costumes and enjoy Last Saturday festivities. Saturday, 7pm, The Old Ironworks. No cover.

Power 94 Monster Ball
Dance the night away with music from DJ Harlo and DJ Prajek. Cage dancers, casino games, and circus acts. There's $1000 in prizes for costumes, so head over if you're feeling creative and/or brave. Saturday, 8pm, Midtown Music Hall. 21+. $15 adv. $20 door.

Halloween at Old St. Francis

Tricks and treats with music from Acorn Project and DJ Bad Habit. More dancing, more drinks, more costume contests. Saturday, 8pm, McMenamins. 21+. No cover.

There's plenty of fun to be had this weekend, so fuel up with a bag of fun-sized Snickers, spray on some fake blood, and get down with your bad self.
