December’s First Friday will be stuffed like a turkey (or a ham, or whatever animal you stuff with things for your holiday meals) with local artists debuting their wares and creations at shops downtown. Take, for example, recent transplant to Bend from Boston, photographer Maria Fernanda Bay. She was last week’s Source cover artist, and her work will be on display at Bishops Barbershop on Oregon Avenue during the month of December.

The classic holiday tale of a girl who travels through a dreamland filled with snow queens, sugar plum fairies and epic battles between mice and toy soldiers is best performed by dancers young enough to be entranced by its magic.
