The Latest on the Paris Attacks

On Monday, people gathered around Paris city hall to hold a moment of silence for at least 129 people who were killed in multiple attacks around the city on Friday. Five of the seven men who carried out the attacks have been identified; however police are searching for Salah Abdeslam who has been named as an eight suspect. Raids throughout France have resulted in the detainment of 23 suspects, and French authorities also seized
rocket launchers and assault rifles. (NPR)

The victims of Friday’s attacks were of 19 different nationalities. French President Francois Hollande said the “attacks targeted youth in all its diversity” on Monday. Holland has requested to meet with Presidents Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin to discuss unification of all three countries in the fight against the terrorist IS army. (AP)
