RTL, Weekend Instructions

Posted By on Fri, Jun 12, 2009 at 3:48 PM

First it was seeing local singer songwriter Reed Thomas Lawrence's name on the lineup for the Rothbury Festival up in Michigan alongside the likes of Bob Dylan, the Dead, String Cheese Incident, The Black Crowes, Broken Social Scene and more, now we click over to MySpace Music and see RTL listed next to Kanye West on the videos page.

The page has the video for Lawrence's song "Music" which was shot here in Bend by Rage Productions and features some quintessentially Bend moments including but not limited to cruiser bikes and a backyard barbecue accompanied by a reggae-ish, summery groove. Check it out RTL on MySpace Music for yourself.

The weather is downright reeeedonculous out there this evening, so that camping trip may very well have been scrapped. So what should you do?

Well, if you didn't catch them last time, Dirty Penny is back in town once again (eyeliner and all) to show off their glam rock antics at the Summit Saloon and Stage.

The twangy Conjugal Visitors, are at the Silver Moon and if you're looking to get down, Bendistillery has DJ Barisone on the ones and twos.

For the youthful set, there's a benefit show for the Kurea Fund to benefit kids in Rwanda with Mirf the Bing, Juga 3, Walter and the Chronkites and more at the Sons of Norway Hall.

If you’ve missed past coverage of The Ascetic Junkies, well… you must have been hidden under a rock.
