Maceo Parker vs Trombone Shorty: What to do tonight?

Both Maceo Parker and Trombone Shorty play on different sides of the county tonight.

As I wrote about in last week's print edition, tonight is one of the funkiest in recent memory.

That's because funk and jazz legend Maceo Parker is playing the Tower Theatre and up-and-coming horn player Trombone Shorty is out at the Sisters Folk Festival Winter Concert Series with his funky band, Orleans Avenue. Tickets are still available for both shows, so your options are still wide open.

Maceo Parker kicks off at 7pm tonight, as does Trombone Shorty. Whatever you do, get out to one of these shows. It's important to get funky on St. Patrick's Day Eve.

Here's some video evidence in case you need some convincing.
