You can win free tickets to see the big Portland Indie Invasion show on Saturday night.

In a move to bring more indie rock to town, The Source and Lay it Out Events have put together the Portland Indie Invasion at the Old Stone Church, a show on Saturday night featuring three quality acts from PDX, including The Dimes, Norman and Tortune. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s our feature on The Dimes from this week’s issue.

Anyway, you should go to this show and while tickets are only $7, you can win them for free, thus saving you seven bucks. All you have to do is e-mail me (mike@tsweekly.com) with Indie Invasion in the subject line. Just include your name and a way to get a hold of you and we’ll enter you in the drawing for a pair of tickets. Since this is a 21 and up show, you need to be 21 to enter.

Entries must be received by 1:30pm tomorrow (Friday) and winners will be notified shortly thereafter.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the talented (and now married) Matt & Kali in Bend Oregon… but that’s all going to change tonight at Silver Moon Tap Room! If you’ve missed past coverage of The Ascetic Junkies, well… you must have been hidden under a rock. From their 2010 album This Cage Has No Bottom, to the new music they are creating (and are sure to share with us tonight), most people just can’t get enough of their unique folk/rock/pop/dance goodness.
