I just got final word from the folks at Combined Communications about the bands selected for the Last Band Standing competition, which gets underway next week. More than 100 bands entered and here are the 38 that were selected to compete for the ridiculously crazy awesome grand prize: a 15-passenger van, a Gibson guitar, a recording contract and plenty other goodies.

As you'll see below, there are plenty of a familiar names from the local music scene, but also some less-known acts that you'll have a chance to be rocked by. And as far as eclecticism goes, the list ranges from punk rock to folk to bluegrass to metal and everything else you can think of.

Here is the schedule of performances, all of which will take place at Boondocks Bar & Grill. All shows kick off at 8pm. Tickets are $3 in advance at Bend Indoor Gardening Station (BIGS) or $5 at the door.
