Tony Furtado Video from Friday Night

Tony Furtado uses his acoustic prowess to cover Tom Petty.

Posted By on Mon, Apr 26, 2010 at 8:29 PM

By the time I pulled open one of the heavy wooden doors at the Old Stone Church here in Bend on Friday night, I could already hear that Tony Furtado's acoustic guitar wizardry was well underway.

Inside, a nearly full house sat rapt by the Portland multi-instrumentalist -- who was going solo for this show. Then, up sprung a group of dancing yahoos to make the scene a little more interesting. It seemed, however, that most people were there to listen, which they did with pleasure as Furtado ripped into his popular cover of Tom Petty's "Runnin Down a Dream."

And you can see video of that very song right here!
