After 12 weeks of preliminary, semifinals and now the finals round, a winner has been crowned in the first-ever Last Band Standing Bend competition and his name is Mosley Wotta.

The local hip-hop hero, known for his larger-than-life stage presence and high-minded lyrics, takes home a big bag of goodies worth some $30,000, including a 15-passenger van. Another hooray goes out to the Last Band Standing crew, including Jen Meyer from Combined Communications who was the brains and muscle behind the event, which brought out 38 local bands...which is impressive in itself.

Again, congrats to Mosley Wotta, as well as runner up KleverKill and other finalists Empty Space Orchestra and Hot Tea Cold.

UPDATE: We now have the correct placing above. Sorry for the confusion!
