Built to Spill Coming to Bend

Indie rock kings Built to Spill are on their way to Bend in November.

For the past couple of months, whenever I've checked the Random Presents website, I've been bummed to see that indie rock heroes Built to Spill were playing in Ashland in November, but not in Bend. But guess what happened when I checked the site today?

Yup, I saw that Built to Spill is, indeed, playing in Bend on November 11 at the Domino Room. Tickets are already on sale.

Last fall, the Boise-based band – arguably one of the most influential bands in their genre – released There is No Enemy, one of their most sonically advanced records. I profiled the band and front man Doug Martsch for Jambase.com when the album was released and wrote about his burgeoning DJ career and got his thoughts on the new album.

The band has been touring heavily for the past year and it’s great to see Built to Spill finally give a visit to their neighbors to the west (that’s us). Here’s some footage of the band playing last month in New Jersey.
