Today, Pickathon -- the eclectic rootsy/indie festival that takes place on a farm outside of Portland -- announced additions to its already solid lineup.
Topping the list is Black Mountain, a Canadian rock act with an Americana edge that has been making some waves as of late. Also, there's the Latin sounds of Grupo Fantasma, adding to what's becoming one of the most diverse Pickathon lineups in the festival's history.
Pickathon, taking place between August 5 and 7, still has tickets available. They're available at the fest's website. You can also see the full lineup at that site.
Here are the other additions announced today:
Black Mountain
Grupo Fantasma
Wye Oak
Corrine West & Kelly Joe Phelps
Michael Hurley
Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter
L. C. Ulmer
Lightning Dust
Dawn Landes
Sunday Valley
Eilen Jewell
Picakthon, Portland's increasingly popular outdoor roots and indie rock festival, announced its lineup this morning and the collection of acts set to play between August 5 to 7 looks as strong as any of the event previous offerings.
And that's saying something, judging from the quality of last year's festival.
Pickathon is headlined by soul legend Mavis Staples, indie folker Bill Callahan and a plenty of other solid acts, including Vetiver, Laura Veirs and Danny Barnes.
We'll keep you up to speed on any other lineup additions and will likely also be giving away some tickets later this summer, so stay tuned!
