French Market 's hours are actually 11:00am to 9:00pm. The phone number is 541-241-2926, and reservations are accepted. They serve lunch and dinner, and in warmer weather have an outdoor seating area.

Re: “Saying Goodbye to Family Businesses

Sad that Bend is potentially losing both. And now Tactics is downtown. So we are going the chain store route? Aside from 1 Starbucks, Downtown Bend has been chain store free. We all need to pay attention & support what we believe is best for & about Bend

Re: “Saying Goodbye to Family Businesses

This is so sad to see. Why aren't the city council putting caps on rentals, for businesses and for housing???? There is something very wrong about raising rents so high that no one can pay it, forcing out the small on purpose, just for more income. Come on elected officials, this needs to stop!

Re: “Outside Eats: Fat and happy thanks to winter carts Skinny Skis Café and Dad's Concessions

AVOID Dad's concessions if you can manage it. We bought a sled for $18 bucks, which broke on the first run, and they refused to replace it, even though it had been literally used **once** by a little boy on soft snow (no jumps, etc). The guy running the cart was a jerk. AVOID! He has no competition, so no reason to practice good business and stand behind the product he sells.

Re: “The Sunriver Haps: New brewery and farmers market give locals more choices

Went to the Brewery for the second time lasts night. Definitely a great addition to the Sunriver scene. In the second week of operations service is efficient, and super friendly. They seem to have flooded the place with wait and kitchen staff, and the owner and manager were working the room both times I was there. The room is a little loud, but they have plans to fix that. The beer includes a solid selection of local brewerys, plus 3 or 4 of their own. Selection sure to expand as the operation gets going. Sunriver Brewing Company is off to a great start. Good luck!

Re: “Sours, Trippels and Stouts, Oh My!: New brewery in Bend promises to fill a hole in Central Oregon's beer scene

Do these guys have trouble coming up with names, or what? TBD Advertising? Looks like they're still waiting to determine what the name of that company will be. Maybe "yet-to-be-named brewery will eventually morph into YTBN Brewery. Yech! But I have a suggestion: How about Artifice Ales?

Re: “Loving a Meat Eater: What to do when your better half isn't a vegetarian like you

O.M.G.! I have been married to a dead animal eater for 17 years! I haven't eaten meat in 30! I cook it or my boys, but strongly urge them to think about where it comes from and howthe animals are affected. Glad I'm not the only one!
