Re: “Promoting Passion

That is correct - we have roughly 160 brewery and associate members. And yes, we have participated in KLCC and plan to continue to do so, as well as expand our participation in events statewide.

Re: “Promoting Passion

Just to clarify - the Guild does not have 281 brewing company members and the Guild has been at KLCC microbrewfest with a booth since 2004.

Re: “Bridging the Gap Between Cocktail and Mocktail

Hi Kyle -- We were so excited about this product that we ordered it online at the Seedlip site, though according to the author of this piece, some local liquors stores are looking into carrying it!

Re: “Keeping It Real (Ale)

Cask ale is never served on nitro. Nito was created to simulate cask ale. Go to brewers union in oakridge or porter brewing co in redmond for a real pint of cask ale. Both served in imperial 20 oz glasses.

Re: “Keeping It Real (Ale)

Where can I get a frosty cold pint of this cask conditioned real ale on nitro?

Re: “Pisano's Named Best Pizzeria in Oregon

Love the pizza but the owners affinity for sharing his political views takes the flavor out of them

Re: “Pisano's Named Best Pizzeria in Oregon

I think the clown is being a bit unfair. Pasano's is good pizza, but far from the best in Oregon IMHO. The owner is probably getting a bad rap from some people who don't like his politics (he ran for office last year remember). On a more positive note, Lisa, I really appreciated your breakdown of the different "pizza types" in the US - and Italy. This is an important distinction to make - and few people know them...at least not in the detail you gave here. However, I have one bone to pick. Please stop calling them "pies"! This is definitely a New York/Chicago thing...not something anybody from the West Coast says, but is gradually taking over here, thanks to the imports from the midwest/east. They aren't pies! Pies are for dessert. And we make great ones here. Let's leave pie for dessert and pizza as the main course please. Thank you!

Re: “Pisano's Named Best Pizzeria in Oregon

Too bad USA didn't take into account all the horror stories about this place. They should've checked Yelp, not just TripAdvisor. I wouldn't set foot in this place after the stories I've heard from other people. And I've seen this guy brag about himself in public. Sad.

Re: “2018 Delivered More to Eat and Drink

Dan -- You're right on that part. My apologies. I've updated to say "north."

Re: “This Land Is Your Land

Author doesn't realize that we Americans don't care how great the illegals coming into our country are. They could all be brain surgeons, it doesn't give them the right to supersede our sovereignty and our immigration laws. We already take in a million legal immigrants a year, most of which are people from central and south America who have been patiently waiting for years and coming to this country legally. What gives the illegal the right to jump in line?

Re: “2018 Delivered More to Eat and Drink

Thanks Nicole, but still nowhere near "the south end of town" either way, thus my correction comment.

Re: “2018 Delivered More to Eat and Drink

Dan and Paul -- Trailhead Liquor is quite literally "off" Hwy. 97. The frontage road is Robal, but it's still "off" 97.

Re: “2018 Delivered More to Eat and Drink

dan...good catch! SW really should be a good citizen and print a correction to their error and apologize to the owner of Trailhead Liquor!

Re: “2018 Delivered More to Eat and Drink

Article mentions "Trailhead Liquor opened on the south end of town off U.S. Highway 97" but it appears they are at 20516 Robal Rd #130, Bend, OR 97701, on the north end of town across from Target and Panda Express.

What a great article, Lisa! So much good info in a small space, and your love for Bend shines through. This is something I'll hold onto. Super useful!

Re: “The Rise and Fall of the 22-ounce Bottle

What kind of prices has everyone been paying for 22 oz beers. I think the death of it has come from brewers looking to get $18-$24 for some kind of wacky, one-off sour or barrel aged porter.
