  • Snow-rich Hoodoo Adds a Week To Season

    Hoodoo, AKA Central Oregon's other ski resort, announced today that, thanks to abundant spring snow, it's extending the season at least one more week through April 14 and 15th and possibly as far out as April 22. The resort was scheduled to close on Sunday, but the ample snow convinced managers to add at least another week to the season.

  • KBND's "Limbaugh" Bombshell is More of the Same

    In case you missed it, KBND dropped its big bombshell this morning, a programming change that the local news and sports station and home to controversial radio host Rush Limbaugh, had been promoting heavily over the past week as a major change for KBND. The station has been under heavy pressure from some community members to ax Limbaugh over his well-publicized remarks about a Georgetown undergrad student, whom Limbaugh referred to as a “slut” for her efforts to promote access to birth control.
