He's also the guitarist in Culver City Dub Collective, but now he's stepping out on his own with his solo project. With the weather as nice as it's been in the last month, who wants to go inside to watch a movie? Um, nobody. Luckily, this event lets families throw down a blanket in a park and take in a free flick. The chosen film is the animated Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in which, as you may have guessed, food (including meatballs) rains from the sky like rain. Film starts at dusk. 6pm. 2010 BIGS Customer Appreciation Party

Bend's Indoor Gardening Station would like to give all its customers a pat on the back - and some free food and music - for being such great indoor gardeners. Show BIGS some love and meet fellow green thumbs this Saturday, where vendors will be parked in BIGS' lot and live music from local favorites plays all day long. Street food by Spork. UPDATE: The 4 Peaks Summer Jamboree has been moved from the West Wind Ranch to the Domino Room due to county permitting issues. Organizers say Poor Man's Whiskey is still performing, along with most of the festival's lineup: Handful of Luvin', Ten Mile Tide, The Mostest, Jay Seals (formerly of Blue Turtle Seduction) and Wild Rye.

McMenamins has another possible fire-code situation on its hands with Wednesday's free show, featuring Portland's The Builders and The Butchers. The Americana roots band, originally from Alaska, has been on the up-and-up since being named Willamette Week's Best New Band of 2008. This show proves that whomever books McMenamins' shows deserves an honorary award for bringing our favorite bands to Bend, week after week. Special guest Pancake Breakfast. Free, all ages. 7pm. The Hump Day Hash: The Autonomics

The Hump Day Hash series continues, showing off the new digs for the Bend Roots Revival, with a show from one of Bend's most solid rock acts, The Autonomics. The garage-ish rockers have a solid new EP out called Good Luck and Medicine, and you'll almost certainly hear some tracks from that disc at this show. Food from El Sancho, Soupcon and Spork. Zombie Pub Crawl

Are zombies the new vampires? With the success of Evil Dead: The Musical (and its encore run - see this week's Curtain Call column), some might say Bend is zombie-crazy. And what better way to meet new people than dress like the undead and cover yourself in fake blood? Join Bend's zombified throngs as they march through downtown, partaking in food and drink specials (and, presumably, innocent victims). Check in at 5:30-7pm at Summit Saloon, 125 NW Oregon Ave. From 6:30-9:30pm, zombies crawl to Bo Bistro, Seven Nightclub and Velvet. Prizes and a showing of Army of Darkness will take place at 9:30pm at Astro Lounge, 147 NW Minnesota Ave.
Deschutes Brewery Twilight 5K Run/Walk

To kick off Bend Brewfest, Deschutes Brewery is hosting this 5K race, which benefits the Ronald McDonald House.
