Reed Thomas Lawrence, Eric Tollefson, Erin Cole-Baker

friday 23

If you've yet to visit the Bend Performing Arts Center on the south end of town, use this show as your reason to finally check out the facility. Featuring three of Bend's most savvy acoustic singer-songwriters, this performance will showcase the venue, as well as let you take in a somewhat rare Reed Thomas Lawrence performance. This gig is billed as an "intimate" affair, and should be a chance to see some local talent up close. All ages, $5. 8pm. Bend Performing Arts Center, 155 SW Division St.

Hillstomp CD Release Party

Bend favorites Hillstomp have a new record called Darker the Night, and they're celebrating its release with this big ol' party. Locals, the Dela Project, a delightfully dark Americana duo, open the show. See the On Stage column for more. $8/door. 9pm. All ages. Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave.

Cascade Cylcing Classic - Downtown Criterium

saturday 24

Did you know that people like to bike in Bend? Did you know that some of them are pretty good? Come see them, and some other fast dudes and ladies from around the world, sprint through downtown Bend in the fourth stage of the 31st annual CCC this Saturday, when the temps will be in the mid-90's. Sounds like some sweaty biker goodness to us. Downtown Bend, 5:45pm (women) and 7pm (men).

West Wind Ranch Americana Music Festival

friday-saturday 23-24

This DIY music festival just caught our ear this week and it looks like it's got some potential for summer music greatness. The all-local lineup includes Leif James, Mosely Wotta and The River Pigs, and a music workshop from Scott Foxx. It's only $15 for both days (or free if you're a smiling young lad or lass under the age of 12) and that includes your camping. Not bad. Call Nina at 503-369-6345 for info. 6pm-10pm. 66280 Jericho Rd, just off Hwy 20 between Sisters and Bend.

Los Lonely Boys

saturday 24

The second installment of the Clear Summer Nights concert series brings to the Athletic Club of Bend courtyard the Texas Latin-flavored rockers of Los Lonely Boys. If you're trying to remember these guys, here's some help - you've almost certainly heard their 2004 hit "Heaven." 6:30pm. Athletic Club of Bend, 61615 Athletic Club of Bend.

Dusty Rhodes and the River Band

sunday 25

One of the Source's favorite shows of 2009 was when Dusty Rhodes and the River Band threw down their sonic explosion of meshed styles on the windy, windy Bite of Bend main stage. Now, the band is returning for a club show at Silver Moon and just trust on this one - you don't want to miss this. Fronted by the gregarious and well-dressed Dustin Apodaca, who plays a massive array of keyboards and is armed with too many sexy dance moves to count, Dusty Rhodes combines their jump kicking rock-and-roll foundation with hints of pop, gospel, Americana and anything else that will make their audience dance. $5. 9pm. Silver Moon Brewing Co., 24 NW Greenwood Ave.

Benefit Performance of Lamppost Reunion

monday 26

This theater production has been descending upon Father Luke's Room at McMenamins throughout July, bringing an alt-theater experience to downtown Bend. But this is the only time that your ticket money will go to help facilitate a kidney transplant for Bend's Bonnie Morrissey - so if you were waiting for the best night in July to see some theat-ah, this is it. Tickets available at BendTicket.com in adv for $20, and $25 at the door. 8pm Monday, Jul 26. McMenamins Old St. Francis School, 700 NW Bond St.

Leon Russell

tuesday 27

If your favorite musician had a hit between the decades of 1960 and 1990, it's a probability that Leon Russell collaborated with him or her. He's joined everyone from B.B. King to Marvin Gaye, and is a bona fide music legend in his own right. Come watch one of the most versatile guys in rock history, or you can just come to get a look at his beard, which has been with him the entire time. Acclaimed rock and blues guitarist Chris Simmons opens. Reserved seating: $30 & $35. 8pm. Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St.

Munch and Music - Orgone

thursday 29

The weekly festival of food and music gets incredibly funky this week by bringing in Orgone, a California-based afro-beat band that recently opened the Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube show in Eugene. The nine-piece band features a full horn section and is essentially a party in a box, which will go well with some Thursday afternoon sunshine. Free. 6pm-9:30pm. Drake Park.
