This DIY music festival just caught our ear this week and it looks like it's got some potential for summer music greatness. The all-local lineup includes Leif James, Mosely Wotta and The River Pigs, and a music workshop from Scott Foxx. It's only $15 for both days (or free if you're a smiling young lad or lass under the age of 12) and that includes your camping. Not bad. One of the Source's favorite shows of 2009 was when Dusty Rhodes and the River Band threw down their sonic explosion of meshed styles on the windy, windy Bite of Bend main stage. Now, the band is returning for a club show at Silver Moon and just trust on this one - you don't want to miss this. Fronted by the gregarious and well-dressed Dustin Apodaca, who plays a massive array of keyboards and is armed with too many sexy dance moves to count, Dusty Rhodes combines their jump kicking rock-and-roll foundation with hints of pop, gospel, Americana and anything else that will make their audience dance. $5. 9pm. If your favorite musician had a hit between the decades of 1960 and 1990, it's a probability that Leon Russell collaborated with him or her. He's joined everyone from B.B. King to Marvin Gaye, and is a bona fide music legend in his own right. Come watch one of the most versatile guys in rock history, or you can just come to get a look at his beard, which has been with him the entire time. Munch and Music - Orgone

The weekly festival of food and music gets incredibly funky this week by bringing in Orgone, a California-based afro-beat band that recently opened the Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube show in Eugene. The nine-piece band features a full horn section and is essentially a party in a box, which will go well with some Thursday afternoon sunshine. Free. 6pm-9:30pm. Drake Park.
