The Reptile Zone Anniversary Party

Chinese New Year Celebration
It's officially the year of the snake. We don't know what that means, but we're excited about it anyway. This new year celebration will feature Chinese food, performances and Chinese traditions, Kung Fu & Tai Chi demos, and our personal favorite, old Kung Fu movies. Free.

Remember "Lullaby"? That one song that played constantly for about a month on top 40 radio circa 1998? Ev-er-y-thing's/gonna be all right/rockabye? Yeah, that's Shawn Mullins, and that monster hit had him opening for Backstreet Boys. TONS OF X COUNTRY SKIING
We're designating this Central Oregon's (unofficial, first-ever) Nordic Festival Weekend! On Saturday, it's the Great Nordeen, an 18K and 30K race ($50, starts at 7:30 a.m., info at mbsef.org). Saturday night is the Luminaria, a candlelit night ski at Virginia Meissner Sno Park (free, starts at 6 p.m., info at meissnernordic.org). And on Sunday it's Tour for the Heart, a 5K fundraiser for the Oregon chapter of the American Heart Association ($25, starts at 11 a.m., info at tourfortheheart.org).
Hoodoo Winter Carnival
