The Two Gentlemen of Verona
Director Sarah Rasmussen flips the script of the classical all-male portrayals of Shakespeare's works with fully female casts in Oregon Shakespeare Festival's production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. It may be the oldest romantic story in the book—boy meets girl, boy meets best friend's girl; betrayal and drama ensue. The Railsplitters with John Craigie
The Colorado-based bluegrass band harnesses powerful vocals and unconventional instrumentation to create a raw, soulful sound that gets people off their feet onto the dance floor. And in case you weren't sure if they were legit—one of the band members is named Dusty Ryder (no, joke). Veruca Salt
All four original members of the alt-rock band named after the brattiest of the spoiled children in Roald Dahl's classic "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" are reuniting and on tour together for the first time since 1995. They claim to have buried the hatchets of their former disputes and have even collaborated on an album that includes their first new material in 14 years. Fitz and the Tantrums
The rising stars in this neo-soul/indie band have received critical acclaim and have been lauded for their work ethic. And the hard work has paid off; the band's catchy tunes have popped up in everything from skateboarding videos and video games to TV shows and commercials.
