Now that it’s officially summer, it’s time for weekends jam-packed with events throughout Central Oregon. There’s no shortage of live music this weekend, so if you’re ready to dance, you’ve come to the right place. Here are a few music-related events to get down at this weekend.

Bite of Bend Music

We wrote about headliner Shooter Jennings in this week’s paper, but he’s not the only musician serenading diners at Bend’s biggest food party. Here’s the lineup for all of the music at The Bite:

Don’t miss the “supple rock” of Woebegone, local favorites who play right before Shooter Jennings on Saturday night. If you can’t make it to the Chiringa CD release show happening tonight at The Old Stone, catch them downtown at The Bite at 1:30pm on Sunday.

Pride Events

In addition to Bite of Bend, this weekend features a variety of Pride events to celebrate LGBTQ equality. Check out these events in addition to the main festivities!

Hey Honey! Pride Edition - Friday 23 - Domino Room - 9:30pm - Bring your beautiful queer selves out and get down for an all-out dance party in celebration of Pride. Featuring DJs Bridge Club pdx. $7.

Central Oregon Pride - Saturday 24 - Drake Park - 12-6pm - Featuring Dykes on Bikes, live music from Mosley Wotta and more, a fashion show, aerial silk performances, booths, food and it's family friendly! No cover.

Pride Afterparty - Saturday 24 - The Capitol - 9pm-2am - DJs Mark Brody and Sinsay throw down all the best dance grooves in celebration of Central Oregon Pride!

Unofficial Pride Party 2017 - Saturday 24 - Astro Lounge - 10pm - Local resident DJs RRLTIME and FLIPFLOPS spin all of the latest and greatest dance hits. Have a great time supporting a cause near and dear to our community. Theme of the evening is the Majestic Unicorn, all colors and fantasy creatures welcome.

Free Summer Sunday - Elektrapod

Who doesn’t love free music? Head down to the Les Schwab Amphitheater for free funky jams from Bend’s very own Elektrapod.

Looking for more? There’s Cruxapalooza on Saturday featuring the likes of Precious Byrd and may more, Caravan of Glam at Volcanic Theatre Pub on Saturday, Paul Simon on Saturday if you were lucky enough to get a ticket and so much more. It seems like wherever you turn this weekend, you’ll find plenty of live music, good eats and good times.
