Hi- Do you have any experience with water right disclosure issues? We purchased a property with water rights but later found out the majority of the water rights acres were in jeopardy of forfeiture. The disclosures including a map from the COID did not show any issues but after purchase we received a letter from the COID informing us of the issue. What is the standard of care in this case? The Seller/Sellers Agent did not fully disclose this issue.Our agents trusted the information received. Could we have gone direct to the COID to uncover this or would the COID only give this information out to the owner of the property? Thanks. PA
