Re: “The Many Faces of Homelessness

My husband and I have been homeless for 2 years. He was a homeless vet he should have never been out there in the first place. With ptsd serving 2 tours the stress and trama caused him to snap destroy the Moterhome wet lived in and threw all my belongings into my truck and set it on fire. Leavning me with no generator a broken down motorhome no clothes no money. No resources I reached out for help from the community with no luck the people that did help me and offer me clothing make up hygiene were the people out there. Drugs or no drugs, we all have our own storys. We all deserve food and shelter regardless of our addictions and vices. I have gone days without food and water people out there are more loving and giving then most shelters or churches. We all need to be homeless at some point in our lives to bring us back to thankfulness and open our eyes to the things we take for granted every day.
We create stronger bonds and friendships. Emotions fears trust and companionship.

I have my 2 children every other weekend and they love to come be with me we make the best of things and we help people struggling. My kids will help pick up trash. Or cook We put our lives aside and help any way we can. Because that's what we all should be doing homeless or not. This season won't last forever but I can appreciate the wonderful things I have learned
