No amount of bike/walk infrastructure is going to solve the transportation issues in Bend. This city is too big and the vast majority of people are too lazy, not to mention the winters. While walking and biking should be considerations in all projects, letting a few radical bicyclists set the tone for these projects is going to keep the average person from getting to work without sitting in traffic for an hour. Let the traffic engineers do their job, and keep politics out of it.
