I am so sick and tired of my lack of representation with Senator Linthicum. He is by far the worst Senator in the whole state Senate, and he comes from Klamath Falls, hours from here. I’ve never heard of him even visiting our area, totally unrepresentative of me, living in Alfalfa as I do. His diatribes via email are worthless, conservative drivel with a decidedly libertarian varnish. I hope he and/or his wife get voted out and someone who understands the issues of Central Oregon will run that I can support.

    Re: “Greek, Out East
Im curious, does this fast casual option actually serve on real dishes or is this photo misleading? I hate our throw-away culture and all of the trash made at fast food places. Id be much more likely to eat here, as it is close to me, if they serve with reusable dishes and utensils. I do love Greek food.

    Re: “Music in the Wild
I’ve been to see In a Landscape twice and they were both incredible. One was at the ocean, in Brookings- watching the sunset and listening to the classical music was phenomenal. The other was at our beautiful Drake Park. Hunter has a way of making his music understandable and inviting to all ages, through his engaging introductions to each piece, and his invitation to quite literally lay under the piano to hear the music. All ages are entranced and entertained and motivated to hear more. I watched a small child dance in Drake Park while listening and she obviously felt the music as much or more than anyone. Bringing classical music to the masses is a beautiful occupation, and I thank Hunter for his gift of sharing it.

We have the ability to have a fantastic Representative. Please support Jamie McLeod-Skinner in her run for this seat. She will represent all of the people and we will finally have someone who understands rural Oregon, as well.

Where will Sparrow Bakery do their baking? Or will they do that in NWX?

    Re: “Best Casual Dining
So good to see that Jacksons Corner got this honor. They are fantastic people who cook delicious nutritious food, sourced as locally as possible. They are huge supporters of local farmers and ranchers, well before and through the pandemic and continuing their commitment. I hope that they will be able to reopen their Eastside location. They would be wonderful employers, for those looking for a job because they always put the health and safety and security of their employees and customers, first. Oh, and did you know that the very best bread available for sale, is what they bake and sell. So delicious!

As a farmer living on the outskirts of Bend, (Alfalfa) of which I feel I am a part- I wish my state Senator was not from Klamath Falls and my State Representative was not from Prineville. I hope the redrawing will include me as a part of a district that has representation from here, not so far away. I agree that CD2 should be drawn to reflect Bend’s growth, not just make the Portland districts smaller. We are definitely not represented well by Bentz or Walden before him.
